hey everyone:

Trying to run an old Emulations software on a 1.3gightz. It was strongly advised to get a US Robotics Modem in order for it to work best. The Emulation software give options on the Com Ports (Com1-4).

My ME system put the modem under Com5. How can I change the Com5 setting - I tried everything and still can't get it???

Two things to try in the BIOS:

1. Try reserving IRQ3 (or 4) for Legacy ISA card (even if it isn't Legacy ISA).

2. Try disabling the IRQ you wish to use in Windows 9x.

I know both of these suggestions sound ridiculous, but either one might work. Don't however, try both at the same time.
