| If they are going to clone something why do they keep cloning sheep and cats and crap we do not need any more of?
Why not clone an endangered species such as the snow leopard?

| "Not only does cloning not produce a physical duplicate, but it can never reproduce the behavior or personality of a cat that you want to keep around. There are millions of cats in shelters and with rescue groups that need homes, and the last thing we need is a new production strategy for cats."
This is the part that hits home for me, after having done some volunteer work at the Humane Society. As much as I miss the cats I've had over the years, especially the last two that both lived to be almost 20, I don't need to have a duplicate.

Now that seems to be actually a good idea!
Seriously, I doubt if clones will produce "identical specimens". Those who think that genetics determines everything are probably in for a big surprise. All creatures are individuals, regardless of their genetic makeup.
