| Sounds better than many other ways that I can think of to die. Quicker, anyhow. | |

| be wary of articles from new scientist.com

| Does it really matter, with your head in a basket, or just rolling around on the ground, I personally don't think it would matter at that point in time......O.K. probably not !! | |
|
| After the beheading, do you think that for a split second you might be able to look back up at your lifeless body and at the beheader? | |

I hope so, but you probably wouldn't be able to flip him the bird one last time.

| What a shame haven't you guys and gal have anything more relevant to discuss, well especially in this general discussion thread. I find this topic somewhat useless and people trying to make a joke out of it. | |

| Excuse us for our immaturity, but no one is forcing you to read it. | |

| personally, I think it is facinating!
Suppose we try to keep a human alive without a body? You would have to keep his brain going through some sort of pressurized dialysis machine.
We could then confirm that his consciousness and being are encased in the head area! Think of it. A great thinker could be kept alive almost indefinitely! We could surely find a way to communicate. Maybe in the future, we could reattach his head to another body, kind of like in Mars Attacks!
He might even tell us all about "entering the light" since he would be about as close as anyone could be!
I, for one, am excited! I would like to volunteer my boss for this grand leap in the name of knowledge!

I think the General Discussion forum is the best place to joke around. I wouldn't want to head over to the Linux forum and find a page full of joke threads. I'd want relevant info.
A thread like this is harmless, especially when you consider the title of it. Who would click on a "beheading" thread looking for IT info?

What a shame you seem to have had a humour bypass.

Of course it hurts, and after they re attach it, it looks like Frankenstiens monster. Just ask John Bobbit. He's still crying and every time he cuts a carrot he has a flash back.

| I didn't know frodo was beheaded by an angry female hobbit. Maybe Sam did after he caught him with the Golem. | |
|
| Or his copy of Hobbit Babes! | |
