How to keep the little icon's in 'Favorities'?
|
|
|
| I have a weird problem, it seems to happen on nearly every windows machine? When you go and make a website a favorite, it adds a small icon in the favorites menu.
EG, when I made this site one of my favorites (http://www.labmice.net/scripting/default.htm), it made a little icon instead of the bog standard blue 'e'. At the moment, its still there, but I bet if I restart, it will turn into the blue 'e'
I'm using IE 6.0.2
Any taughts?
yeah, also, the bloody 'Links' favorites folder keeps reappearing? lol

| same thing happened to me. im using ie 6.0.2600.0000. it seems the url icons won't stay longer than 3 days or so. and i've deleted that links folder 10 times and it always comes back with an aol link in it.

That's not a problem, that's a favicon.

| Search your temp directory(internet file cache)...most are simply named "favicon". Copy that file to a folder on your hard drive somewhere. I rename them when I move them so I know what is what. Once it is in the folder you created, goto IE and right click on the corresponding shortcut in favorites, right click, choose properties. Click the chang icon button and then point it to the folder where you saved the favicon. Simple!

BTW...what is the examnotes favicon supposed to be? Is that a biohazard sign of some sort? Looks like 3 green dots on a black background?
