Pasting a doc into PowerPoint

I can't figure out how to paste a Word or PDF into a slide on PowerPoint 2002. It doesn't matter if I use .doc or .pdf just as long as it's in PowerPoint. Anybody got any ideas?

What I have done in the past with .pdf files is to pull it up, print screen then bring the resulting .jpg into power point. I'm sure there is a better way, but the few times I have need to do it, this was worked.
