yes, it is a hot hellhole! that's for sure...but i still miss it there. i've been living here in brooklyn for about 9 months now. it's not really my cup of tea...mistyring, az has a lot of mountains and cactus and snakes and scorpions! plenty of wildlife and outdoor stuff to do..when it isn't 120 degrees outside! but really, it is a nice place to live. im from phoenix and i miss it there. i wish i could move back but i've become too settled here now to leave. maybe sometime in the future i'll go back home...

I am from Germany and live here in Long Beach California since 1987.
Not one Day goes by without missing that Country.

There's always Central Park ...

Where I live in South London I'd call it a drive through for automobiles. There is nothing much to miss here. Central London really only half an hour away and it's the glamour of that place which gets me hooked. Personally I don't want to hang out with arachanoids, impossible temperatures, and a few hardy bits of plant life.

I live in Brooklyn. I would love to visit Arizona, but I wouldn't want to live there. The recent heat wave here was too much for me.

I've been to a few places but as they say in the "Wizard of Oz" there's no place like home ....

I never lived there but passed through and hung around for a couple days
it is without a doubt one of the coolest places in the country (if ya like hot) beutiful scenery, some of the weirdest plantlife in america, and some cool animals
I can see why you'd miss it

gr33nd4yg1rl, I know how you feel!!
I moved from Arizona to DC about 8 months ago. I can't wait to go back.
It used to take me five minutes to go to work, now I'm in the car at least an hour each way!!

I lived down south about 15 miles from the border. Phoenix was too hot, even for me!

parts if I think it's route 15 in Utah are 70mph

I'm suprised you didn't get your license taken for that 110 in a 65
I got "reckless endangerment" for 135 in a 65 in Massachussetes

Actually i used a Radar Detector.
It was at Night, took my Parents (who were visiting me, they live still in Germany)to the Grand Canyon.
Well all of a sudden, my Radar goes off!
I hit the Brakes really hard, but he still got me with 96 miles/hour.
He asked me if i was using a Radar, because i hit the Brakes."Of course" i replied.
His following Statement: " If i would have gotten you during Daytime, i would have thrown your @ss in Jail." scared me some.
I need to add, that this happened back in 1989 and i did not have my Greencard at the Time.I thought for sure, this Guy is going to throw me in the next plane back to Germany. Not so. He said, and i quote:" this is not the Autobahn", handed me my $140 Ticket and let standing there in the middle of that God-***mn Desert.
The Rest of the Trip i did not exceeded 65, believe me.
BTW:
1993, after 5 Years of wrestling the INS, i finally got my Greencard.
