| dumb question here...but what is a braindump? it seems to be something bad according to the others...but then why is it listed as a keyword in the meta name for the examnotes.com website?
quote: <meta name="keywords" content="MCP, MCSE Braindumps, CIW, 640-607 braindumps, 640-506, 640-503, 640-504, 640-505, MCSE forum, CompTIA, A+, Network+, i-NET+, A plus, Network plus, free MCSE practice test, mcse exams, microsoft practice exams, comptia certification">

| a braindump is when people take the test and try to remember the questions and possible answers and post them on the net or publish them on paper
this is bad for at least 2 reasons
1) it's illegal. when you take the test you sign a non-disclosure agreement with the testing company. violations of this agreement can and will void your certification
2) it devalues the cert for those who worked hard studying and are able to pass the test "legitimately", which leads to people who are "certified" but don't know anything but how to memorize questions and answers
think of it like this
a MCSE should be able to plan, configure, support, and document a fairly large network by him/herself
a "paper" MCSE (a.k.a. braindumper) might get hired to do a job like this based on his qualifications (he is a MCSE after all and should be able to do this) but would probably run into problems that he should know how to fix but if they weren't on the test exactly he would have no idea where to even start and could not get the job done
this makes not only that person look bad but would probably make the employer think twice about hiring a MCSE for the next job he had to do | |
