My work still uses a 286 pc running dos and win311 for some old programs that won't run on any newer pc'c.I gave up on this a long time ago and keep this old pc around for that one program. What a waste
I was just wondering if anyone else has run across this? The programs will not run on a 486 or better and not all 386
I don't care about fixing the problem it is not worth the time just was wondering if I am the only one

If it is doing a job then it must be an asset.

What programme do you use on it - can't believe it has not been updated or is it a company programme which no one has got round to updating?

Have seen this type of machine used for virus checking disks - why waste money on a new machine when a machine like this is suffice?

If it isn't broken don't fix it ....

You should know by now that it isn't MS's fault it's that "third party" software or unsigned driver that breaks it ....
