Is Micorsoft getting reduant because they already have exam 70-220 which covers security.

Just my opinion

Hasn't Microsoft always been redundant?

It's another $125 each for MS, please.

There's something about having the words "Microsoft" and "security" in the same sentence that always makes me laugh.

70-220 is for network design and the new one is for network administration

Looks like MS is making more of a distinction between administration and design lately.

Am I correct in understanding that up until now MS has had only a design test, but no admin test on this subject?

You're right, Tech Ranger, no MS security admin test before... Except ISA and proxy server.

It is just a different flavour. The price remains.

Exactly! Why don't they secure their web browser and Outlook first before coming up with this exam.

Only Microsoft is to blame for the spread of email viruses - they all use security exploits in Outlook.

It's because they run their products out too fast, but attitudes at Microsoft are changing somewhat and they will do much better in the future with these things. The fact is that IE 6.0 is a good product and nobody can deny this.

Yes, they are getting better. They have a long ways to go though. IE6 has a nice interface but its security and stability leave much to be desired. I prefer Mozilla because of those factors (and because IE hasn't been ported to any of the BSDs).
