| It is just the excitement of the moment.
We'll all be back to normal, after the Cup is over.

So forgive us as we prepare for the next Game.

| the World cup still has a couple of weeks to go, when it's finished you think is all over? no. we've just had printed in the National newspapers the fixture lists for the new football season which starts in August, so it will all be talk of who can stop Liverpool from winning the premiership this year. | |

| The World Cup is exciting stuff. I love watching the games. The USA is doing better than expected, and myself decending from Germany, makes the USA/Germany game pretty exciting too! Just goes to show you that there are more important things in this world than just IT. | |

Not jealous at all mate, just got my eyes open to how Manchester United fans act..Don't try to deny that a large majority of the fans at Old Trafford(I use the term fans loosely, I should call them Corporate bods) cheer on Argentina over England. Sad narrow minded morons that they are..
The dig at you was actually tongue in cheek, but then Manchester United fans aren't really up on humour, having got first hand experience of working in Manchester for three years..Now the City fans have bags of the stuff(but then they are the only team in Manchester)
By the way I'm an United fan, Leeds United that is.....

Why? | |
| bearing 2002-06-21, 4:08 am |
| Apparently, because of the way the England fans used to get at Beckham after poor Team performances...All started with his sending off in the last World Cup.. | |
| MistyRing 2002-06-21, 4:20 am |
| Hmmm, seems a strange reason when you consider he's captain of England. Still some Rangers fans support England over Scotland - kinda odd for a Glasgow club but there you go. | |
| bearing 2002-06-21, 4:32 am |
| Your right, You'd think they'd be well chuffed that the England captain is a Manchester United player(I guess a lot of them are chuffed, but there are still those that don't support England).
I think it also has a lot to do with the fact they don't like being hated so much...
They should think themselves lucky their not Leeds fans, everybody hates us! ...even the press(who adore Manchester United)
| enforcer 2002-06-21, 4:41 am |
| I think it could also be a reference to the fact most Man U fans are not form Manchester, and there are probably more Man U fans that are Argentinian than Manc's | |
| MistyRing 2002-06-21, 4:59 am |
| You may have a point there. After all Maradona looks as if he's been taking it to extremes by tucking into the full Mancunian diet thrice daily.
More black pudding sir? Ci! |
