| Have you tried searching the manufacturers web site for driver downloads. It's all about good troubleshooting skills. | |

| Even though there is USB support for Windows 95 B , it is very hard to get it to work. I used to do tech support for Gateway and it was usually very hard to get any USB devices to work in 95. It usually takes several times and then is never reliable. I would suggest upgrading to 98 SE. HOwever, this has only been my experience with 95. | |

| But memory is so cheap right now, that's hardly an excuse!
And I remember selling 128MB sticks for $2200... | |

| That was most likely when ECC DIMMs first came out for the Intel Pentium Pro servers! I spent a bundle on RAM for our servers back six or so years ago I would guess now.
I remember when I paid $119 for 16K (not MegaBytes, but KiloBytes) of RAM plus $35 to have it installed (1981 Radio Shack Model 3 TRS-80) and that was with my employee discount! Back then, the memory was DRAM Chips that you had to be very careful not to bend any of the pins as you seated the chips and also had to worry about "Chip Crawl", where the chips would work themselves loose due to heat (the motherboard would expand and shrink) from being powered on and off over time. Just one of the reasons why I leave my PCs on and turn the monitors off except during bad weather! Yes, I have a UPS at home for my computers too. |
