| Lo,
I'm doing a bit of webdesign at the mo, but I have a little problem. Every time I double click on a Jpeg image, it opens in a NEW IE window
Is there a way of configuring windows (2000 professional, IE6) so that every time I double click on a jpeg image, they all open in the same IE window, instead of opening a new window?
Currently, I usually have 10 different windows open for 10 pictures and it gets messy as you can guess !

->Folder Options-> In the General Tab choose Open each folder in the same window
|
| that did'nt work for me
It was already set like the way you described.

| this is a web page your developing right?
admittedly I don't know as much about web development as I would like to but is there a "target=new" statement for the jpeg (that would do it)
or is this for images on your local machine?
for that I would have to check it out on my pc

| i have pictures of f1 cars saved to my hd as jpeg images, a few hundred. I double click on one, it opens up the picture in IE. I go back to the folder and double click on another jpeg, and it opens up another picture in another window ?? all I want to do is to use the same IE window | |

| in tools>internet options>advanced
do you have enable page transitions, and reuse windows for launching shortcuts both checked
this used to happen to me when I was running win98 but I forget what I did to fix it (fat lot of good that does ya) but I think it had something to do with checking off a few things in there
but for another program to view your images acdsee is an awesome program
