Hi! I need help regarding a problem.. I've set up a domain controller.. Windows 2000 computers are able to log in to the domain but down-level clients (in this case Windows 98) are not able to log on to the domain.. this error message appears

No domain server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources.

I've already created a computer account & user account in the DC.. I'm already able to ping the DC and able to ping the DC by its host name.. this problem only happens while logging on to the DC using down-level clients..

Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance

What OS is the DC? Is it also a Win2000 Server box? If you're trying to get clients to log onto a 2000 Domain Controller, are you running Active Directory? If you're running AD on a 2000 Server, did you load AD Services on the older clients?

It's still really early here for me and I may not be thinking clearly yet and if this is way off, then I apologize and I'll go back to sleep now
