| I just came across this in an E-mail! Maybe it will help some of you!
Like my Old Man used to say "If it's for free it's for me"
 quote: "* 3COM CERTIFICATION AND MATERIALS--FREE "* 3COM
I recently came across certifications that are nearly free.
In fact,
for the lower-tiered certifications, even the study materials
are free.
3Com offers an ongoing certification program that requires
yearly
updates. The program isn't well known, so the certifications
might be
most helpful for those who work on 3Com equipment or who work
for 3Com
resellers and integrators. For others, the lower tiers of 3Com's
program are still valuable.
3Com's program includes a good Web-based introduction to
networking and
all kinds of product-specific and solution-specific material. If
you
know desktop OSs reasonably well but want to gain a better
understanding of networking, this program makes sense and will
broaden
your horizons beyond the Microsoft perspective. If you're into
Cisco
Systems technologies or have worked with networking for some
time, this
certification should be fairly straightforward and will give you
a
glimpse of 3Com's perspective on networking.
To access the training materials, go to 3Com University at
http://www.3com.com/support/en_US/jump_page/index.html . Unless
you
work for a 3Com partner, select Customer Training, in which you
can
access more than 50 Web-based courses."

| You're right if it's free, look into it. If it's good, take advantage of it | |
