| I surf the net at work. Is there a way to find out if your company uses a Cache Proxy to monitor where you go?
Thanx in advance | |

| with internet explorer go to tools>options>lan settings>look on the bottom of the window and if where it says proxies
if it says automatic discovery of proxy server you could find a website that nobody at your company has been to (harder than you'd think) try www.mandrakecampus.com (I doubt anyone's on there during work time) and time it then empty your temporary internet files folder and visit a site that everyone in your company goes to often and check the difference in the time (if it's more than a few seconds you have no proxy)
if this don't work don't blame me when you get canned for surfing porn at work

| Actually I have been sending emails to a fellow co-worker and I don't want him to know its me. ;-) I don't look at porn. | |

| It's hard to tell. The page reload suggestion that jombeewoof mentioned is the best way I can think of but it's not 100% reliable. Most ISPs use some sort of content caching so if the page comes back fast it could could just be your ISP's cache.
How are you sending the mail? If it's though your company's SMTP server then it's definately open to monitoring. If it's through a 3rd party's SMTP server that it's very unlikely to be monitored and if it's through a http/https interface that it could be either way.
