I have 5 static IP's. 4 use VPN and must remain connected using the static IP's 24.0.0.0. The last static IP is given to a router. The router will NAT using 192.168.0.0

Modem--->Switch----->4 static Network B

2 NAT network A

I want network A and B to communicate with each other. (No Cisco routers CCIETOBE :-)

I have solutions but I would like to hear more.

Sol 1: Add NIC's to the static computers and assign them the private IP address and physically link them to the router. They will live on two subnets.

I know this setup is poor. It is not a design that would allow these things to occurr very easily. But, the setup must remain the same. We cannot replace the switch with Layer 3 switch. The switch is also un-managed. (Hurts doesn't it?)

You're already using one VPN. Why not setup a 2nd that hands out IPs in either the same or another 192.168.x.x subnet? Depending on what type of router you're using you may be able to even have it provide the VPN services.

Good solution. However, the router can sustain only one VPN connection at a time.

Do these 4 VPN IPs need to be valid Internet addresses? If not you could just switch the existing VPN to a 192.168.x.x subnet. Then if it's the same subnet you're all set and if it's a different one routing between the two should be np.

It just won't work this way. I have convinced my client to allow me to modify his topolgy. Though it took some time. Some people are just finicky. Thanks for your conitnued support CCIETOBE
