Hello everyone,

Im studying for the 215 test. The study materials Im using are CBT Nuggets, NewRiders Server book, study guides found on the net and some practice tests. I see people that have taken and passed the test say they had alot of questions regarding GPO's. In the study material that Im using...they only brush across GPO's. Even the study guides for 215 have very little on this subject. My question is ..where can I find study guides that expains GPO's in a more indepth manner? Can someone please point me in the right direction. Im off to check the MS site now about this.

Many thanks...

Now...I just read that 217 focuses more on GPO's than 215. Even on the CBT nuggets ....GPO's are covered on the 217 disk.
Any advice??

Though I would like to do what Wicket suggested in the MS MCSE Training Kit for Windows 2000 Server it states that you should learn/know the following:

Explain the structure of group policies, including group policy objects, containers and templates

Explain the hierarchy of applying group policies, including the rule of inheritance and methods for modifying inheritance of policies

Use the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in to create a group policy object and modify the settings in that object

Use the Group Policy snap-in to specify group policy settings for computers and users

The problem with MS exams is that they will include parts of other exams, if only briefly, in exams other than the specified exam (for example Server is covered in the Professional exam)

This a question I posted not so long ago ...

http://examnotes.net/forums/showthr...&threadid=32316

I read the link you gave and understand your problem. Although it has been quite a while now since I took this test and I'm sure I had some GPO questions.

Is there anyone out there who can clarify this .....

Frank,

Thanks for the link to your old question about group policys. This might sound like a weird question but....where can I find questions like the one that you posted that explains things. For some reason...when Im studying.....If I just read the facts about something(like group policy)...I cant retain the information....but....If I'm given examples of the whys and whereof's...I understand it soo much better. Does that make sense? Im sure that this Group Policy concept is not that hard to grasp.......I just need examples to absorb the knowledge.

My heartfelt gratitude.
