| Hi Guys, this a first time for me,...(a little shy) but must say that it is a lotta fun reading the posts. Since I've started a computer course 8 months ago (never knew how to send a e-mail 8 months ago...)and came out of it with pre-examination knowledge of A+, Network+ and basics of MCP...and I enjoy IT.
Can someone help me,... will be sitting aptitude tests tomorrow for recruitment agencies etc,and must admit the brain after 50 years, goes into freeze mode a little tooo often....
Any proven ways to attack these tests from those who have been there would be greatly appreciated...

| Be sure to read the questions carefully. Often one word in the question will make the difference between which answer you choose.
Also, usually two answers can be dismissed as wrong pretty clearly. Eliminate the blatant wrong ones, then work out which answer is correct.
Watch for questions which ask for multiple selections for an answer.
Good luck. | |

| An aptitude test is just a standardized test to predict your ability to learn certain skills. It's hard to fake this test. It's pretty much 'who you are'. Try to think positively and use those problem solving skills that have kept you from getting killed before now.
Try to show initiative and an ability to think and act with little or no supervision. Answer the questions like you are a Maytag Repairman automaton and you will present the perfect employee. Good luck.

| Exactly get that rest, what you don't want to do is go in to the test and be all razelled up. | |

| The biggest things are to be relaxed and get a good night's sleep. Loading up on caffeine right be the test can help too
You can't really study for these tests. It's kind of of like the SATs or an IQ test, you might be able to fudge your score a little through perparation but not by much.
