Be Warned, Do Not Order Anything From This Site
|

| I have been struggling with this site since I first joined. It seems when I send and e-mail to the webmaster describing problems I am having with their site, my e-mail gets rejected claiming I am not a member. I am also having problems with the companies that they have advertising. I placed and order with one and a number of e-mails. They have not given me any order number. All they did is take my credit card number. And send me some kind of automated message promising the order would be filled in 24Hrs, which it was not. Know I have my credit card number out there in cyber space some where with nobody acknowlwedeging anything. Do not make the mistake of ordering anything from this site or its advertisers. There is somthing very wrong. I will be very suprised if this warning gets threw. | |

| I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems, personally I've ordered things from advertisers on this site a number of times and have been very satisfied with the service(considering the things ordered have come from the states).
I think that now you've posted your problem, one of the moderators or even the Webmaster will be able to sort you out...
Hope these problems haven't soured your feelings towards the site, as you will discover, as many others have found that this site is a great place to give and receive help....
Hope you get sorted out pretty quickly...

| Thanks for your reply bearing, I appreciate what your saying but this is the first reply I have gotten from anything to do with this site. Know I know someone is alive here. Buy the way I also just received a reply from the company I ordered from. They said that they never received my order which I find strange because they the sent a message right after I first ordered saying they received my order, go figure. | |

| I agree on this one. I have never had any problems with this site or affiliates of this site. I use the and Cert21. Both have helped me tremendously and I have recieved prompt service. I with you the best of luck. Especially sence this site and others have just tuns of info on all thinge techie. Good Luck. | |

| Shadowraith, I am glad to see some of you folks are getting good use of this site. You mentioned Cert 21 as a good study source. Did you use there material for the O.S. side of your A+ exam and how were they as far as accurracy of materials. I find that there is alot of mistake riddled study material out there for A+ study. | |
| Shadowwraith 2002-03-08, 12:14 pm |
| Actually I use them for the A+ and Net+. All material I have gone over with them have been very acurate. I think I found only spelling mistakes for both. | |

| Buy the way the company I attempted to order study materials from was CHEET SHEETS. Thought you should all know. I received a response from them finally. They claimed there must be something wrong with some security issue with my computer. They said that I should try and order again from another computer. Guess what there is nothing wrong with this computer other than having one mad XXX son of a XXXXX pissed at them. They also said that the issue could be cleared up by a phone call so I asked for their phone number. Guess what, got no phone number to try to find out where the hell my credit card number is. They have it somewhere. Anybody ever have any dealings with this bunch. | |

| Oh, ok. I thought you were talking about buying stuff from Cert 21. | |
| Shrink 2002-03-08, 5:49 pm |
| I have never used Cheet Sheets, but I did use cert21 tests for my Network+ test and had no problems. I too hope this one bad experience doesn't sour you toward this board. There are a lot of very helpful and good people here and having a place like this is really valuable in gaining knowledge in these various IT areas.
Hang in there gaitano99 and give it a second chance.
|
| sorry to hear that you had some issues, I will email the webmaster for you and alert him about your situation. Maybe it can help
To my knowledge, both this site and cert21.com are classy organizations, and I would never expect the situations you are describing to appear in the same sentence as those two sites. I hope it all gets resolved soon. Keep us in the loop and let us know if we can help!

| I dont think he actually means Examnotes when he says "this site"
He was talking about cheat sheet, one of our former advertisers.
| Paisleyskye 2002-03-08, 8:59 pm |
| I'm not sure. Did you mean this site, because you said not to order anything from this site or its advertizers. - but I could be confused. Or did you just mean Cheet-Sheets?
Regardless, I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with CheetSheets - but didn't they go out of business months ago?? Like before Christmas? If you order something from them and don't hear back - that is probably why.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you had. Hopefully it has not soured your feelings about Exam Notes, because this site is a great study resource. Any time you have problems you can PM or e-mail anyone of the moderators or the webmaster - I'm sure we'd all be happy to help in any way we can.

| Since we don't sell anything on Examnotes.net, it's not even possible to place an order on our site, so I assume he did not mean examnotes.net when he said " don't order from this site" | |

| My anger yesterday caused me to get a little carried away, sorry about that. I do not have a problem with examenotes I think this is a good outfit. I finally got a phone number from CheetSheets and am presantly working on clearing matters up but I will not be doing business with them. Nothing like starting off on the wrong foot. I normally do not leave a first bad impression. I am just a little wound up from constant studying. I been trying to find extra ways of testing to help prepare myself for the O.S. side of the A+ exam. I have already taken the hardware. I found the hardware test to be very deceptive in the first five questions, and vague answers also. Know doubt designed to trip you up, which I do not think is a good way to run and exam. You should be tested on your knowledge, not be tricked into screwing up. I got a fairly decent grade but felt I should have done better. | |

| I might add that, if my memory serves me correctly, Cheet Sheets was sued by Comptia last fall for copyright violations and, for the most part, force out of business. If that's not correct, it was some company with a very similar name. I would avoid any of these fringe companies and stick with the better known and established practice-test companies, such as Cert21, Exam Cram, Transcenders, etc. | |

Since I get to this board from Cert 21 I thought he was talking about that. Glad he cleared it up though.

Actually that was "TroyTech" that got sued by CompTIA. Their "cheat sheets" were "exactly" like the exams, word for word. Can't remember where I read this, but it was sometime last year.

| This is from the above article:
CompTIA (Computer Technology Industry Association), an Oak Brook, Ill.,-based IT testing and certification provider and member of ITCSC, last summer received an injunction against www.cheet-sheets.com after filing a copyright infringement action, according to Fran Linhart, director of certification programs at CompTIA. The site was barred from publishing CompTIA test materials and currently presents a blank page when called up.

| Well, I haven't bought anything from anyone as yet, but all it takes is one bad experience for me to steer away from cheet sheets. Good luck with your studying | |
