| Could someone tell me what is the difference in purchasing a motherboard with audio, and purchasing a motherboard without audio.
Any information will be appreciated.

If you’re big-time into gaming/movies/music on your computer, you might want to go with a separate high quality sound card made for those features. If you’re just going to surf the web, use word processing and business stuff, the onboard sound card would suit you just fine. Just b/c a sound card is integrated onto the board doesn’t mean it average. Some come with average audio and others come with better. | |

| Hi Lillian40, I agree with Bernie. It depends on what you would like to do. When you want to upgrade you are better off with a sound card, not the integrated one. But you can still upgrade by disabling the onboard sound as well. |
