Sup,
I should really post this one on the MS fourm but anyways....

My current computer config:
2 Hard drives--both FAT32 format.
1)--10G
2)--6G

I've got :
10G--|
Win98-(5G), Win2k Pro(3G) and Win2k Server(2G)on the 10G drive.
6G--|
and 6G drive is just to store any sort of data.
******************************
**
1)I hv'e just realised that I dont really need the Win2k Server.
2)I will need the win2k pro..as I will be doing a UNI paper on (.net) and to install the material for (.net) you require win2k.
3)I will also be doing a paper on PHP, Java Scripting, XML, E-commerce.
4)for PHP i will need to install the MySQL, Apache server etc..
******************************
**
Now what do you ppl think i should do??
I want to reformat the whole drive..the registry needs to be cleaned..got too much sheit on it.
Im not sure if I should install Linux or XP.
How much space should I allocate for 98 and 2k, and what file format is suitable.
******************************
**
Any comments --most wellcome..meanwhile i'm backing up the necessary data.

Thanks,
L8r.

That way you can test your Apache PHP/mysql setup remotely.
If you can find an old 150-200 mhz machine
with a 2 gig drive for 50 to 100 dollars.
use it instead of the madness you are suggesting.

Just curious; your profile says Location: Pakistan Country: New Zealand.

How did you manage that??

I agree with chodan, get another PC if at all possible. If you want to try out Apache, MySQl & PHP then IMO you should run Linux or one of the BSDs. My personal preference is FreeBSD but go with whichever of these you're more comfortable with. If you decide to keep your current setup then my suggestion is to dedicate one of the drives to BSD/Linux and use whatever Windows setup you need on the other.

To keep things simple I recommend using FAT32 for all your Windows partitions if at all possible. That way you can easily share files between all the OSs.
