A friend sent some .pps (powerpoint slide show files) to me through outlook express. I have PowerPoint XP and when I try to go to open the file, it says it cannot open the specified file extension. I can make a .pps file and open it. Could it be that maybe he has PP97? I thought XP would open these files. It comes up under the files to open, but wont. Any ideas?

I kmow this works for WORD. Click Save As, write the name. And under the name section select file type.
Scroll down till you see .pps 95/97/2000 format
