| I have had a similar problem with a mouse and mine turned out to be the led detectors in the mouse had to be moved closer to the wheels. Over time they weaken a bit and then you can get very strange reactions to the mouse movement. Another type problem is when it only moves the cursor in one direction. Then it may be the detector or the led is dead. I hope this helps out. | |

| Sounds like you got some problems Oldsaltdog, I'd just go buy another one or if it's new take it back. They're not that expensive, thats what I would do anyway. | |

| Has a friend been anywhere near your computer? There are gag programs that can make your mouse do that - it happened to me on April Fool's Day. | |

| It's not the mouse I've tryed a new one, It's not a gag no ones been at this computer but my kids and me! It drives everyone nuts, sometimes its so bad I have to push the reset button to stop it!I run my virus software every nite and don't have any bugs that I know of. I think it may be something from a download, but I don't know how to track it down!! | |

| Is it time to do the device manager dance? Reinstall drivers and the like? USB mouse or serial? Connectors fried, solder cracked on the mobo? |
