| How do you change the Admin password for Win98se? Is this in the BIOS? | |

| I'm not aware of any Admin password in 98se. I could be wrong though. What are you trying to do? | |

| Are you trying to get into your BIOS and it asks you for a password and you don't know it? | |

| www.google.com search for BIOS crack and you should find what you wanted.
There is no security database in Win9.x, therefore there is no admin account nor password. The best you can have -- and that is VERY relative -- is a PWL file... | |

| Freak, I haven't seen you in a while, great to see you again. I'm trying to secure my parent's computers from hackers. They both use a dial-up connection. One uses Win98se, other WinME. I have turned file/print sharing off and they don't have any firewall setup. I know they will probably never need to worry about it. They are just home users with nothing important on their systems. I just kinda want to secure them. | |

| It seems like the password you are referring to is a Password that some BIOS's allow a person to implement, and basically you get a password asked as you boot up the computer...
The best, and the easiest way to get around the problem is to open the case, and the take the CMOS battery out for about 10 mins, then boot it up again.. password should be gone..
But, you will now have to set your BIOS setting back to desired =) |
