| MY HD HAD TWO PARTS: c (FAT32) E D (NTFS) .
C: WAS WIN2K AND D: DATA.
I FORGOT DISABLE THE SECURITY IN NTFS AND
I FORMATED C: FOR INPUT WIN XP. NOW I CANīT SEE AND ACESS THE PART D: 'CAUSE THE SECURITY.
WHAT CAN I DO FOR ACESS THE PART D: ?
IS THERE A WAY ?

| U can format C:\ using NTFS when install WinXP or back to Win2K
Then u can access D:\
Very simple, as long as u don't re-partition the HD. | |

| XP should be able to read the (D)NTFS drive no matter how the C partition is formatted. You sure you didn't blow away the D partition when you installed XP? You should still be able to see it in the disk administrator, even if you don't have access to it. But you should still have access to it anyways, since the local admin always has full control unless you changed that.
You are talking regular NTFS security right? You didn't encrypt the D drive....cause in that case you may be screwed. |
