| I am entering the industry with very little experience and I would like advice as to what would make more sense. I plan on becoming MCSE certified but should I be A+ certified before I go for the MCSE or does it matter? | |

| If you know a thing or two about computers, then take the A+ course. If you already know the ins and outs of a computer (h/w and s/w specifically win98/nt) then go for the mcse. | |

| I would go for it, I've seen some entry lvl positions that would not hire you unless you were A+ certified. Plus you will really learn a thing or two about computers, which may spark a bigger interest and get you motivated for reading more. Some of the info you learn from your A+ will also carry over into the MSCE studies.
just my thoughts.. | |

| I would definately go with the A+ first. This will teach you how a computer works and how OS's work within the environment.
This will certificate will give you a good foundation to move up!!

| A+, then Net+, then MCSE... in the time it takes you to get those certs, get as much exposure as you can to real world hands-on situations... that way, by the time you get the MCSE, it will actually mean something | |

| A+ first, alot of jobs require it and it's a good cert to have.
Then move on to Net+, MCP, or CCNA, and just keep going from there!!

| Visit the Microsoft education and certification website. Save yourself study time and money by laying out a certification plan for yourself.
Do the A+ first, then the Network+. You'll achieve the MCSA with just three MS exams and then you can complete the MCSE with three more.
Good luck! |
