would love to see it. I haven't seen snow in years. I am used to massive amounts of snow, ( in Germany) always had fun driving in it, but here in California it is kind of rare. ( 80 degrees today)
I would have to drive 100 miles ( local mountains) to see some real white stuff.

Enjoy!

I'm in California - LA area - for vacation this week. Thank goodness for no snow!

Even at home in OK, we don't typically get 6" to 8" - maybe once every few winters. Usually a couple inches is plenty.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't miss the snow at all. You guys can have it. Today, at least for me, it is cold in Florida, 55. Brr. No snow. I was only in Boston once, last year, in Feb. that was enough.
Enjoy it though!

Grew up in Boston and miss that first white, fluffy, clean snow. I hate it tomorrow when it's piles of brown yuck on the sides of the road (although, that was fun as I recall if you hit the nasty slush pile just right you could take out an entire bustop of kids ). Enjoy the winter wonderland - I'll enjoy my beautiful sunny Southern California day too

55 is winter weather here. Hope we do not get a freeze. I don't even own an ice scraper anymore. Left it in NJ.
At least the high today will be 70.

Have a great Holiday everyone. Thank the certifications goddesses for Exam Notes.

I went Kyaking on the st johns river today, lovely and crisp, though I do like having a pint of ale in front of an open fire in a nice country pub with snow all around.

Several years ago, in Nashville,Tennessee, I had a restaurant across from the state capitol and one day we got a 8 inch snow storm. I was surprized to look out my restaurant window an see a man sliding down a steep hill on a garbage can lid. He slid into a parked car at the bottom of the hill and several people including myself run over to him. When we got there, we found him bleeding from the forehead and he cracked two ribs. when asked why he did it he said that he had been wonting to ski down that hill for years and just had to do it. Ski???????

I was at work in Cambridge (MASS) I saw the first snow start at around 1:00a.m. I always enjoy the first snow, I think it brings out the kid in us all. That is until you have to shovel the shite. LOL. Here's hoping everyone has a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving....

That first snow! So wonderful and white. Now ask someone about snow about late February!

I've lived in winter and non-winter climates. Snow is cool now that I am not doing geologic field work anymore. I also tolerate the heat better.

No one can convince me that working outside in 7 degree F weather (actual examples: Utah, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Yukon Terr.) makes snow fun.

But I hate outdoor work in 105+ F worse (actual examples: Tucson Arizona, El Centro CA, Bakersfield CA, Las Vegas NV). You can't dress for heat.

Techies, enjoy your work environments. It can be worse!
