| Well i would say the same. But enfarcers question seems to look like question(s).
1-How many sets of teeth
2-does an Elephant have it it's lifetime?
Well number one, i don't know. Number two, the answer is yes. an elephant does have it. else we wouldn't see baby elephants.

| "D" - I believe elephants can have up to 6 sets of teeth in a lifetime. After that, they can't grind up their food anymore and pass away due to starvation.  | |

| i think elephants have a set of teeth- one on top and one on the bottom. one of each of those, much like humans.
a few animals grow teeth continuously, like sharks, generally. i can't think of any other creature that grows more than one set of teeth in its lifetime.
then again, who knows. could be wrong!

Elephants have 6 teeth, 4 of which are molars. They get 6 sets of those molars. The last set occurs between 25 and 30 years old. After the last set is gone they die of starvation. It is how elephants know when they are going to die often going to a pre-determined location to do it. Hence the myths of the elephant graveyard with riches in ivory. While they can live until about 60 years only about 20% survive past 30 in the wilds.
Who knows what the other two teeth are called? If you think too long then you are thinking too hard.
Oh and keep your beer away from elephants they are the largest drunks in the world and love fermented anything. | |

| I learned they get six set of Teeth, because they consume so much Food, their Teeth wear down fast.That explains the six sets of teeth.
They only get one set of Tusks.
An elephant drinks about 225 liters of Water a day.
