I figure "it all comes out in the wash", so to speak. I've always been pleased with their selection, support, and service.
I'm like a kid in a candy store when I get the new catalog.
Hey Paula, check out some of their barebones kits. You can put a machine together very cheap.

| Hey Supertech, did you get your new Tiger catalog today? I did, it's red.
I personally recommend the Soyo 7VEM barebone. I built 3 for my company. They may contain a Via chipset (which makes them so cheap) however they run very smooth. Micro-ATX board though, so if you have a lot of pci cards I would get something else. However if you do buy it, don't get it with the Via C3, they suck a$$. Get a PIII 933 which is the board's max.

| Just throw some more links out if you want to go the online route for building your own computer.
http://www.directron.com/
http://www.newegg.com/
http://www.googlegear.com/
I've found Newegg to have excellent prices with good service. However, they always seem to be out of the parts I want to purchase. Go figure. Googlegear has good service as well, but usually more expensive than the other two I listed.

| I used Pricewatch.com during my last upgrade (complete from parts, no kits) and my only concern was the honesty of the vendors, but I had no problems (maybe one back order) with any of the sites from Pricewatch. The PC is still up and running. My contribution will be this one:
http://www.motherboards.org/
where you can find the Mobot (under mobo tools), a very good resource for discerning which of the various combinations of CPU, chipset, and mobo fit your needs. Have fun.

| Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get started. I spent the whole day surfing the web. I found a Mini ITX motherboard w/ a Mini ITX case at cyberguys.com What do you think? I plan on moving next year and don't want to hassle w/ moving something big. But I do want something that I will be proud of and something that will be useful. Does anyone have a great website that will tell me how to do it?
