| I live in Maryland and the past few weeks have been hectic around the Maryland/DC area. Even though I live at least 45 mins a from the killings, I still was a little scared getting gas and moving around. Check out any news site and you'll see the pictures of the two scumbags that terrorized this area. It's not offical that they are the sniper(s), but it's really looking like it.
Now I await these bastards death penalty that will likely be brought upon them. | |

| I definately think it's the guys. There's evidence coming out that proves it. Even reports are now saying they are confident they got the sniper. | |

| At present the only evidence they would have to link them would be if one of them will admit it during questionning ,that would be kind of stupid thing to do knowing you had a pack with your partner not to tell anything and you go spill your guts ,nothing to gain by that reguarless what they offer you in return .How do you reduce 10 life time sentences Ha ya down to 5 to 7 for helping.

| If they have no solid evidence, and cannot hold them, which I don't know the circumstances, they can interrogate them. Break down one or the other the to plea bargain, and if one implicates the other as the shooter, he can be given a lesser sentence in hopes that these people now are locked up and charged, and people start trying to live normal lives. | |

| I heard they found the rifle but now it makes it officiel with ballistic proof .they were careless on their hideout location,good think the truck driver smell something funny going on,they would of been on the move the next day .

| I can only imagine what its like over there Boulware. Here in Washington, we've got articles popping up in regards to the sniper having lived over here in the south end. Seems like federal authorities have unearthed some possible evidence over here. I hope they do have the actual sniper and his accomplice in custody. | |

| They should be placed side by side and shackled to a post of some kind. A government official should walk a few feet away from them, and talk into a radio saying "Do you have a shot?". A voice would respond, "I have a shot". The government official would respond "that's a Roger, take the shot". These procedure would be conducted twice. | |

| why not 10 times one for each killing. or the shhoter takes a shot and just misses 9 times, or maybe dosen't hit a vital organ until the 10th shot.

| investigators found a small hole in the truck of that car that they were sleeping in. they think the sniper could've shot people through the hole...then the driver would drive away. | |

| Don't forget they are people also and we are supposed to be civilized. Are we not? I think we need to help them work out there problems and figure out why they are so mad at the world. We need to understand not hate. I think with a little help we can make them normal productive members of society. | |

You are kidding right? Assuming you are talking about the two bastards who killed 10 people, no they are not people. I don't even consider them a member of the human race. Each one of them needs to die a long painful death. Bottom line. I almost thought this post was some kind of a joke when I read it; that is how ludicrous I think it sounds.

I understand your feelings along with the others expressed here. I previously lived in Rockville, Maryland for six+ years and worked in Rockville / Wheaton / Silver Spring / Kensington and Aspen Hills Radio Shack stores during those years. I still have family in Gaithersburg and Germantown and they were scared to death to let the kids go to school this past week after that note about kids are not safe, etc...
As for the firing squad idea, the proper method would be to shoot off their ten(10) fingers one at a time leaving the trigger finger for last! That would represent the loss of ten good individuals from society! Of course, TechRanger's idea with "A government official, preferrably Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose, walking a few feet away from them and talking into a radio saying "Do you have a shot?" A voice would respond, "I have a shot". Then Chief Moose could respond "that's a Roger, take the shot" would work well for me, knowing the pain they are about to endure as they lost a random finger each time the shot rings out from some police snipper that was hidden from their view. After each shot, the victims' families get to talk on the blow horn to the murders to express the pain they feel as well.
The whole episode should be broadcast on national TV to hopefully prevent future copy cat murders!! Is this cruel and unusual punishment -- Hell YES -- and it ought to be that way!! The courts & prisons are to easy on people like them.
Then let the surgeons stitch & bandage their hands (or stubs) so that later on the victims' families get ten(10) good minutes alone with our former snippers. If they are still breathing, then give them the death penalty, by allowing them to bleed to death, by way of physical castration, seeing they had no balls in who or how they killed!
If Maryland's laws and temporary moratorium prevent the death penalty, then ship them to Virginia, Washington DC or Alabama where the punishment can be carried out! These folks make me sick, and I cannot truely express how I feel, but on Monday I will hopefully be a jurior and if we find him/her/them guilty, I will push for the maximum punishment. Here in Texas, we have no problem with the death penalty and the Texas record proves it!! I want a Hanging Judge 
PS: 1st we had Islamic terrorists on 9/11 that hit NY city & Washington, DC. Then we have another "converted" religious Islamic terrorist comit domestic terrorism again in this country and you want us to show pity and sympathy? Maybe ChrisDfer, (Certified Jackass), should move to Iraq and try studying the Islamic faith so you can explain why we should show sympanthy and pity towards this murders! | |

Chris, are you a parent? I doubt it.
They ceased to be people when they shot a 13 year old boy being dropped off to school, and did I hear right in that they were threatening to shoot up Kindergardens also?
On the whole, I dont agree with the death penalty, but to try and kill a child, thats a whole new level of sickness.
Maybe Id release them, to an angry mob waiting outside, that to me is suitable justice. | |

| I don't belive a bit of it. It's all "save the XXX of U.S. intelligence". If these guys are the killers, then let's have maryland, d.c area residents sleep in peace for 2 weeks. These guys deserve to be burnt to death in hot oil. First the toes, then the knees.... up... the private parts... stomatch..... Yikes... painfull but that's the only punishment for thier kinds (if they are the devils).
And it's an essential thing in investingation. don't go blind with emotions. we love to see the killer tortured to death. but we want to torture the real killer to death. not another covert "save the XXX" person. in order for that to happen, our emotions should be a secondary matter. intelligence sould be the primary.
And please oh please, let's keep our discussion away from religions and races. It's the sniper we want. not his race (black or white) nor his religion (muslim of christian).
