| Yes we have a new exam presented by our dear Microsoft and it's traincert team.
The exam number is 70-214. entitled "Implementing and Administering Security in a Microsoft Windows 2000 Network"
To be released this December 2002.

| I bought the book, without even knowing it was recommended for the test. I recently took a vacation to New Hampshire for my birthday and got a gift cert to BN. I happen to see this MS Press book on the table. It was 20% off, 30% for me cause I am Readers' Advantage. It was called "Microsoft Windows Security Inside Out". I skimmed through it and ended up buying it. A couple of days later I saw it on examnotes.net as a recommended reading for the new 70-214.

| I took the beta last week. Not really an easy exam.
The difference between 214 and 220 is like the difference between 216 and 221 or between 217 and 219. | |

| Maybe I'll take this exam as an elective for the MCSE if I continue into this cert. For now I'm pursuing only MCSA. | |

| I suggest you locate a better book to guide you in preparation for the 70-214 exam.
I've thumbed through the MSPress Windows Security Inside-Out book that you mentioned in B&N this week. Last week I sat the beta 70-214 exam. Belive me, this is not the book to prepare you for the exam.
The book is beginner-to-intermediate level!
The exam, in typical Microsoft fashion is master level! | |

Well, like I said. The book didn't say "Use this book for 70-214". It was just recommended by examnotes.net. Thanks for the tip though. I don't want to lead people in the wrong direction. |
