| I have 2 Lucent P333T Cajun switches. Trying to connect them to my current Hawking switches. Have one available uplink. My other uplinked switches use a straight through as the uplink port electronically does the crossover. I have tried crossover, straight through and everything else I can think of, still no link on Lucent switch.
I'm certain it works fine. Someone said that I need to use a 100MB crossover versus a 10MB crossover, now that really confused me. Anybody know of such, and if so what the pinout is?

| the only difference between 10 and 100 is the category of the cable. The only cable I can even find is Cat5E
look here http://home.cfl.rr.com/bjp/RJ45pins.htm

| Well I think the 10/100 crossover was kind of a run around.
I have tried setting the port that I am uplinking to from 100MB Full duplex to 100MB half, that took all the users on the uplinking switch down (broadcast storm?).
This really is driving me nuts.

| is it a managed switch?
maybe you have to log into it and configure it before you can use it | |

| Thanks,
It is manageable. Tried setting it to
auto negotiate> enabled/disabled
100MB Duplex full/half
same/same
