Someone sent me an e-mail today that I found to be very humerous. If you read through it, you will get a real kick out of point number 9.

1. Bill Gates earns US$250 every SECOND, that's about US$20 Million a DAY and US$7.8 Billion a YEAR!

2. If he drops a thousand dollars, he won't even bother to pick it up because by the 4th second after he picks it up, he has already earned it back.

3. US's national debt is about 5.62 trillion, if Bill Gates will pay the debt by himself; he will finish it in less then 10 years.

4. He can donate US$15 to everyone on earth but still left US$5 Million for his pocket money.

5. Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in US. If he doesn't drink and eat, and keeps his annual income US$30 Million up, he'll have to wait for 277 years to become as rich as Bill Gates now.

6. If Bill Gates is a country, he is the 37th richest country on earth, or US 13th biggest company, even bigger then IBM.

7. If exchange all Bill Gate's money to US$1, you can make a road from earth to moon, 14 times back and forth. But you have to make that road non-stop for 1,400 years, and use a total of 713 BOEING 747 plane to transport all the money.

8. Bill Gates is 40 this year. If we assume that he still can live for 35 years, he has to spend US$6.78 Million per day to finish his money before go to heaven.

9. BUT!!! If Microsoft Windows' users can claim US$1 for every time their computers hang because of Microsoft Windows, Bill Gates will bankrupt in 3 years.

Yes, uncle Bill Gates is incredibly rich!

Even if one person saves 1 Milllion $ in a year, he needs 58000 years to match him. This is provided that Bill stops earning and let us 'catch him'

I'm moving to US to follow BG around - if he drops $1000 every five seconds I could be quite rich!!!!

Hmmm . . . I wonder why he hasn't retired? If I was making that much cash, I am not sure I would keep on working!

Not that it's a big deal, but Uncle Bill is actually 45 years old. He works cause it's his hobby, and he truly enjoys what he is doing. A few years back, after he got married to Belinda and she became preganant, Bill stated that he didn't want his children to grow up super rich. He and Belinda set up a foundation that would donate 98% of his yearly net worth. If you do the math, you'll find that it only leaves him about $160 Million per year to live on! I feel really sorry for his kids!

More power to him!

I don't feel sorry for his kids. You can bet that they'll have the finest education money can buy, and more networking and contacts potential than if fair for any human They will have to do a little work. I think Bill is doing the right thing, otherwise he'd just raise a couple of snotty, spoiled brats who have no sense of self-worth, still living at home when they're 35.

Incidentally, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation does some great work, especially in healthcare. Whatever can be said about his business ethics, at least his moral sense of what to do with all that money is firmly rooted.

Just kidding about his kids.

From what I gather BG just wants to be known as a regular guy. When he's in Redmond, he drives himself to work, albeit with body guards trailing him, and is somewhat of a workaholic. I envy his tenacity and his drive. The Bill/Belinda foundation is wonderful as I have seen direct influence here in NM on the indian reservations. Although his money may not touch everyone, his heart is in the right place. How many people can say that about the politicos that run our country?

I've heard down the grapevine that he is giving his kids 10 million a piece

The miserable git that's only half a days work.... I'd laugh if my dad only gave me half a days wage as inheritance...

The cream pie stunt was great, would have been funnier if he'd used a waffle...

Reminds me of the bloke that threw foodstuff at our deputy to President(sorry Prime Minister) Blair, John Prescott, mind you I bet Bill didn't turn round and plant a right hook onto the blokes head like our Prescott did..
