| Not natively. You need an add-on pack. | |

| The hilarious thing is that you need an add-on to the base Netscape 6.1 install in order to see Java applets as well. The below comes from netscape.com:
"Netscape 6.1 includes Netscape Navigator, Netscape Mail, Netscape Instant Messenger, Netscape Composer, and Netscape Address Book. Netscape 6.1 also offers cutting-edge add-on applications that help you get more from the Internet, Java for running web applets, ..."
The whole issue of IE6 not supporting Java was blown way out of proportion by the media. MS reduced the download size by having Java support be optional. Most people don't even use it. And when Netscape did the same thing, nobody even blinked. If you look hard enough, you can find a conspiracy theory anywhere I guess | |

| From MS Website:
Q. Does the new version of Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer 6, support JAVA VM?
A. Yes, Internet Explorer 6 supports Java. Java applets run in Internet Explorer 6 just as they run in older versions of Internet Explorer. The Java VM is not installed as part of the typical installation, but is installed on demand when a user encounters a page that uses a Java Applet. |
