Just got this email from CompTIA
quote:
The horrible tragedies in New York and Washington, D.C., took an
enormous toll in terms of human lives. The disaster also severely
affected the IT infrastructure of countless companies, as well as a
significant portion of the regional telecommunications network.

CompTIA is stepping in, offering to help the IT industry recover as
quickly as possible by compiling a list of member companies who
provide services necessary to the repair efforts. To do this, we're
asking you, our member organizations, to help us compile a list of
companies offering IT-related hardware and support, applications
outsourcing (ASP/ISP/xSP), network infrastructure support and
telecommunications services.

Please note that we're not looking for donated services - we simply
want to offer those affected by the tragedies a list of vendors and
service providers, via the comptia.org Web site, to use as they
rebuild their IT systems.

To include your organization in this list, please go to
http://www.comptia.org/nyc/index.htm and complete the online form by Friday,
September 14.

If you have any questions, please contact mailto:ITHelpingHand@comptia.org.

I think this is a good idea. If people have resources to work with it will make the struggle back to normality easier. If 100 people from every country contributed something, that would be a whole lot of help.

Just think about that.
