hi guys..
can anyone recommend on materials to learn UNIX Script (especially the cron job part).

I used the man pages to learn it on a FreeBSD box. Try "man cron" and "man crontab". It's not too complicated, but since you do have to set it and wait to see if it works, trial and error can take some time. I made a post a while ago on the Linux/Unix forum about using cron to copy database files between two servers every night here:
