| MCSE Certification to Include Windows XP/.NET Server Exams
The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) program is integrating Microsoft Windows® XP Professional and "Whistler" Server exams into the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. The Windows XP Professional exam will be released during fourth quarter of 2001. .NET Server exams will be released in 2002.
MCSEs who are on the Windows 2000 track will not be required to pass Windows XP Professional/.NET Server exams to retain MCSE certification. The Windows 2000 exams and the Windows XP/"Whistler" Server exams of the MCSE certification are expected to remain available concurrently. Retirement schedules for all exams are affected by a number of factors, including needs of the industry and release of the next version of the Windows operating system (codenamed "Blackcomb"). Candidates who have earned the MCSE credential by passing either Windows 2000 or Windows XP/.NET Server exams or a combination of both will remain certified for the same duration. After an exam retires, candidates have at least 12 months to fulfill any upgrade requirements.
MCP candidates can pass a single Windows XP Professional or a .NET Server exam to demonstrate their competence with the latest product.

| Good news XP fans! I will be adding the exam notes for the new XP professional exam 70-270 tomorrow. Look for it in HTML and PDF format in the MCSE section of our site.
I will also add the XP forum under the "Elective" category. | |

| They are (M$) offering the XP pro beta exam to select MCP now.
Hmmm...wouldnt it be an idea to have the "gold" code available before a certification track/curriculum/scam was made available?
Just a thought. | |

| However, I don't see people will go for it unless your company and your job request to keep update and track of all kind of new technology...
XP look great and sound great, but there many mirror that will get you a big headache... |
