Should I persue N+?

I'm at a point where I am switching careers. I am going from a sales position with an internet provider to a more technical field. I hope to be a system or database admin. I am relying on my people skills to get me where I want to go using tech skills to open the doors. I expect to start on the bottom. I have my A+ and my MCP. I plan to finish my MCSE and MCDBA. If a take a break and get my N+ will this help at all in the job market, or is it just fluff. My first priority is to get the job interview then work on getting the job. All comments are appreciated.

Thanks for your time

I think that you have a good start with the A+ and the MCP. Those two are more important than the Network+ (in my opinion).

Me, I would add the network+ to your list because that is just adding to your resume. You dont get any more certifications from your MCSE track until you are completed. So getting the Network in the meantime gives the employer more to look at and reason to consider you for the position.

Good Hunting!

Network+ does help alot, because it gives you a more broad overview of networking and not just microsoft. It is nice to have a cert to show off right away, as opposed to several tests for the mcse. Go for the Net+ also. It won't hurt, just help!

I agree with the above. Plus the material will be good review for further MCP and MCSE exams.
