What type of PCs do you like to work with and easiest/simplest to fix?

If you choose the retail ones, please list the manufacture or brand.

I prefer home-built ones. Since the user is far more likely to be PC-literate than the average retail buyers. And also it doesn't have all those crappy manufacture junk installed into it.

I also like home-built ones.
PC manufacturers try to give the "dumb" consumer some piece of crap PCs. They are built out of junk pieces. The PC manufacturer that I hate the most is Gateway. Don't ask me why because I have had so many problems with gateway PCs that I don't even know where to start...

It's the opposite for me. I have had the best experiences with Gateways and Dells. Hmmm, the newer models.

Compaq, Packard Bell, HP, IBM, Acer, and AST were the worse.

I agreed old PC from Compaq, IBM, PB, HP, Acer are problems.

Most new company is easy to fix, unless u talking about go deep into the board ciruit, which just replace the motherboard. But if u are EE or CE. It is very fun to find out what happen...
