| Yes, just use a bootdisk with CD-Rom support and reinstall Win95 as normal. DO NOT reformat or re-partition the Hard Drive or you will wipe everything. Obviously, if you are able to save files to floppy beforehand then you should do so. Hope this helps, Grollo. | |

| As Grollo suggested... furthermore you should boot into dos with your bootdisk. Delete win.com in your windows directory, reboot and boot off cd, install win95 in same directory as it will try to install in windows.000, so point to the original directory. HTH. | |

| Thanx, I tried but it didn't work. | |
|
| It is better to upgrade to Win98SE or Win2000.
Is your AV definition up to the date?
It supposed to work, but Win95 is very unstable system(bad OS). | |

| Well, It's not my system but it's from a friend. It all happened when he updated his AV. Then the programm says; you've got nine virusses and it we recomend to throw them away. So he did. then the problems started. He deleted several .exe files included the file wich controles the executing of programs ( cannot rememder the name) So i installed a new copy over the old en that is where the problems began. In the final stage of the setup it comes with errors like "explorer failed" and that sort of stuff. Now the setup won't finish.
Tommorow I'm gonna backup the whole disk and installl NT or 98
