Getting layed off from my high speed internet sales position. Getting a pretty good severence and have a $5k tuition bonus that must be used by the end of August.

Was looking at MCSE, Cisco, and Oracle. If you were looking to make the jump from sales to a tech field, which of these three would you choose? Which if any is easist to get a job in? I actually have a degree in computer science from 1990. Spent my time in sales thou because the money was better.

I would choose MCSE. I have heard that there are more job possibilites If you are a MCSE.
It also depends on your location. Check out websites like www.computerjobs.com to see which jobs are most required in your location. For example here in Michigan, If you are certified in Oracle you can get into a very well payed job. I would say that oracle is pretty good too. So consider MCSE and Oracle.

Around here the Oracle skills seem to be more necessary as I have perused the employment ads. As stated above, I would check out the ads in your area to determine that.

Although MCSE would seem to be more generally employable, whereas the others are more specialty related;however there are a lot more MCSEs around than Oracle admins.

Bear in mind that entry-level Oracle jobs, especially with no database experience at all, are almost impossible to find right now. Oracle is a good thing to know, (especially for free!) but at least with an MCSE (or less) you can score a help desk job.
