To have an avatar, I think you have to have been a member here for about 30 days and have about as many posts. Then you can upload one, but it needs to meet the size requirements. That's probably why you were having probs.

Greetings,

hey randy i think ur only person whom seems to be helping around others with ur messages. others have become nuts in their persuation of certs, as nobody seems to have replied to my message asap.wow way to go pal. i think it would be better if u give ur email id so i can mail u, if i have any doubts in future. that would be easy as u can send me replies asap. anyway keep up the good work n share ur knowledge with me n others so we can learn a lot.

Most of the people who frequent this board are in America and it is still very early here, which may account for the slow response time. I have sent you a PM with my email add if you want to ask any more questions, but if you stick around, you will find others are only too eager to help you. Best wishes.

4:32am?! I hope you are on the east coast Randy, otherwise you are up and coherent *far* too early in the morning

I'm dreading being on the road and driving at 4am tomorrow to make a 8am appointment in the Bay Area, hair coiffed and all. If I didn't have to be charming and employable, I wouldn't bother going to bed...

I like being on the road early, as there is less trafiic . . . but I don't care for interviews that much.
Nicole

It's not an interview precisely, but the Women in Technology (WITI) conference. Worse than an interview for me; I'm lousy at meeting new people. My volunteer shift starts at 8am tomorrow. There is a job fair as part of the conference, though, so I have plenty of fresh resumes.

I dont thinks so u guys are lousy at meeting new people.Ur interactions on net are quite good that u can impress anyone and anywhere. Ur too good at handling things i suppose, so that should not be the problem. hey nicole all best for the conference. and for the webmaster wat u say shall we have a separate chat session where intellectual people like these guys will be there n starters like me can gain more knowledge from these guys.any suggestions n ideas where we can share our knowledge n also gain more.

Yeah, but in person, I am a bit more reserved. I think lots of people are like that.

I'm the same way -- stick me in a room full of people and I'll look for a book to read. My strategy lately involves meeting ONE person, and then letting them introduce me to everyonbe else

Cool. I lived in northern India about a year. Never learned any Tamil, though. I don't care for VB much. As for the chat, I am on IRC a lot, but organising a chatroom here may be a bit difficult, as people are from every corner of the globe and we'd have to be on at the same time to have a real-time chat.
