This is going to sound like a complaint, and well, it probably is. What is the deal with all of the "Hey, I passed" posts? Followed by no info on how you did it, what type of tricks M-Soft tried to pull on you, or any type of links? And then to follow it up, you get 10 or 15 reply posts that say nothing but "Awesome", "Congrats", "Good Job". Now I'm not one to say don't give a pat on the back for a great job at something, but c'mon. Post information that is usefull. Post information that when I get an email saying someone has replied to my last post, it's worth checking out what someone wrote. What is it, do some of you just get a good feeling seeing that your post total is now up to 2000? I could have a 4000 post count if I replied to every post I saw with a "Good Job". I know many of you on this board, and I also was lurking in here way before the demise of the MCSE/NT4 exams. This post isn't to berate you, or anything of the sort. Let's just make this the most usefull board possible. It is afterall, one of the originals.

I know what you mean, but passing an exam is a big accomplishment for some people, and those who have helped are often glad that theur efforts have paid off, so to speak. Also, remember that lots of the people who pass their exams stick around to help others. And as far as people with 2000+ posts, the only ones I know of like that are SomeGuy and freak and I don't think that there is any doubt as to how valuable they have been to this board; they are constantly helping others even though they get paid nothing for it.

Tekmazter:

I guess you have some good points, but I think that there is nothing wrong with telling others "good job", or "awesome work" because they passed an exam.

Remember, these people who congratualte others on their accomplishments also post useful stuff. I mean, we are just trying to help people grow!

Hey, great posting guys!!

Good job discussing!!

Sorry, I had to do that. I can never be to serious.

Anyway, most of the guys who do the pat-on-the-back thing are the guys who answer all the questions and help people the most. What do you think that the guys who posted the "I passed today" are looking for? They like that shit. In the month I've been here I noticed that this is an I'm-okay-you're-okay type of forum, which is a nice change because 99% of those other boards are quick-to-flame boards. That type of atmosphere keeps a lot of people coming back here, because they know they won't get some vicious diatribe if they ask the same question someone did the other day.

Oops, I thought that curse words were automatically edited out.

I apologize for my potty mouth.
