| Hi, I'm looking to get certified in web developer / webmaster / web designer programs. I will be doing CIW soon, but I was wondering if anyone had heard of this other one that I came across: http://www.webmastercertification.com -
Is this a reputable one? Has anyone done this certification?
Would appreciate any info ya'll may have.
Thanks a bunch!

| I had never heard of them before -- but I noticed that they are endorced by WOW which is reputable. I would stay focused on the CIW and remember that many mom and pop training center's are trying to create their own certification. This way they can sell their courses and their certification.
If you post this in the CIW forum you might get some more responses... | |

| Just wanted to thank you for having such a quick response. I was figuring that it was a type of mom and pop training center doing their own thing, but was a bit confused when I read that they were endorsed by WOW which I also believe is reputable.
I am planning on doing the Inet+ and CIW first. Do you have any other suggestions as to which other certifications I should look into after those? I want to focus more on web development, as I still have a bit to learn, but I am graduating with my Bachelor's in Business with concentration in Management Information Systems. With this in mind, what do you or anyone else, recommend considering that I want to focus more on web development, but also have my degree in the other area.
Thanks to all in advance!

| Take a look at the ITProject+ by CompTia also. A lot of companies are looking for project leaders so this might help you down the line.
I would start with the i-Net+. Find out what 'turns you on' and then focus on that. You might decide to go into graphics, or data, or commerce, or programming... CIW does have the new certification that would be good for you. You can find info on it in the following post:
