| Anyone notice that the times are now GMT... Wonder why they changed it without warning us...
Never mind -- it is a bigger problem of me getting logged out everytime I try posting to this board, even though it says I am logged in. Everytime I try to post it tells me I am not logged in, but I can edit my profile. Server must be acting up tonight...

| One of the reasons why this may be happening to you is because you do not have cookies enabled. | |

I apologize for this topic. I tried deleting it but it wouldn't recognize that I was logged in so it wouldn't let me remove my own post. It was a problem recognizing that I was logged in. I rebooted the machine and no problems this morning. And yes, I know that you need to have cookies enabled

| I am using the Beta Version of IE6. I have noticed that when I go to another site now and come back I am logged out of this site and can't log in until I close the browser and reopen.
Does anyone know if this is because of the fact that ExamNotes doesn't use the privacy policy that is implemented in IE6? Is anyone else even having this problem???

| Do you have an email account @examnotes.net?
Also how do you have the options set in your profile?
There are several options of using cookies, loggin in with cookies, browsing with cookies. Try experimenting with different options.

| Your site settings:
Invisible=No
Automatically Login=Yes
Browse with Cookies=Yes
IE6 Settings:
Security=Standard Medium
Privacy (New option in IE6)=Medium
-Check Internet Sites for a Privacy Policy
-Compare privacy policy to my preferences
-Allow all web sites to use cookies
-Do not allow unsatisfactory third parties to use cookies
-Compatible with most web sites
It shows that your site conflicts with my privacy settings. I am trying to find out what 'unsatisfactory third parties' means. Most of the time I have no problems browsing and I have been runnin IE6 for over two weeks. Problems just started...

| Okay, I am still trying to figure out if my bugs are IE6 or not. The latest is that whenever I click on any link (I was trying to perform a search on the i-Net forum) I get sent to the banner ads site. The URL reads:
http://www.examnotes.net/forums/for...p?s=&forumid=17
but the display is Cert Portal site -- which was the banner ad.
This is happening when I am on other sites too, but in reverse. I see a page from this site even though the URL is for Microsoft Support or somewhere. Problem is that this site is the only common thread in the problem so is it a cookie problem with this site or is it IE6... Ahhh... The fun of betas...

| Alright master of Microsoft Support:
or anyone...
Can you tell me where to go to send feedback on IE6. Somehow the URL and the actual content definately don't synch up. I wanted to report the bug to Microsoft but can't find where to do it...

| Yeti-GBR1 2001-04-30, 11:31 am |
| Have you installed the IE report SW from the MS Windows Update site...that allows you to send feedback on browser issues | |
| SasiSan 2001-04-30, 11:53 am |
| Man! I almost beat you to this one, I just didn't post it in time... I read the 'read me' file and it lists a public forum for beta testers at:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6beta.browser
And the URL of the bug reporting tool:
http://131.107.85.107/ie6beta/ie6bugreport.htm
After answering tons of questions I got the bug submitted... |
