i will be starting study for an mcp for exam 70-098 implementing and supporting win 98, while i was in a bookstore i saw a copy of the study guide for win 95, exam 70-064. i know this cert has been retired and replaced with 98, but i bought the book ( for 3.00 i couldn't pass it up).
i was wondering does the book have any merit? will it do more harm than good by reading it? and can anything in it be applied to 70-098? i will get the proper books also, but i was curious.

I took both exams. I took 95 over two years ago, then followed up the 98 exam about two weeks later. A lot of the information for the exams was similar, however the 98 exam will cover some additional information on the 98 system tools and FAT32. I'd say for 3.00 you can't lose. It's worth a read to learn about the similarities. Then pick up a good 98 book to learn about the differences.
