| ok, I've after finishing my course and just when I need to email my lecturer, I lose his email address ....... D'OHHHHHHH
I have a small problem with Windows 2000 server policies:
I was messing around with policies trying to get to grips with them, but i got a small problem.
I have a win2k domain set up called "ando.com". Lately, I have been messing around with "domain controller security policy". (EG) I specified the policy to give me a sentance when logging on like "authorised access only". It worked fine for me when logging on locally to the PDC, and then i got rid of the policy pretty easily iswell via active directory.
But when I attempted to do the same on "Domain Security Policy", it worked fine iswell, but my problem is that I cannot get rid of the policy from the domain ? When I log onto a member server in the domain, i get the message that i specified earlier, but when i log onto the domain controller PDC with the same account, i get no message from the policy because its a domain policy and not domain controller policy.
I remember my lecturer was saying that in windows 2000, it takes 90 minutes for the policy to be updated, but I don't know if that applies to this situation ?
anybody have any suggestions on how i can get rid of the domain security policy ? | |
