Author IIS connections not closing

Anybody have a suggestion on why our IIS connections are not closing? At the end of the week, we need to clean out the server because of all of the open connections to avoid a crash. Do we need to limit the number of connections or maybe alter the timeout feature? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
