| Does anyone know about the CDIA (certified document imagining architect) exam?
If so, do you know where I could find some material that I could use for studying? I have been searching the web and all I can find is stuff that you have to shell out $500+ bucks in order to get it.
Study guides or even test preps would be great.

| I passed the CDIA almost 2 years ago. The company where I worked purchased the materials its employees used to prepare for the test. I looked for additional study material to buy on my own, but like you, I found it all very expensive so I used only what my company provided. Because I had a lot of on-the-job experience, it worked out OK.
Unfortunately for you, because the certification is not well known and the interest or demand is not like the A+, all the study materials are going to be expensive.
Unless you can find someone in your area who has purchased CDIA study material and is willing to sell or share it, you don't have many options.
I am curious as to why you have an interest in this certification. Because so few people have it, and very few have even heard of it, its value is virtually zero. Considering the expense, I would not spend my own money to get this certification. If I had a job that required me to pass the exam, I would get the company to pay for it.
Also, the A in CDIA is Architech. I think it was Architect when it first came out, but many people try to be clever with spelling these days so they changed it. | |

The company that I work for is a reseller for a certain DMS company. In order to be an installer of their software the person has to attend their 'installer classes'. In order to attend those we have to be a CDIA and an MCP.
We do have some training material from Specialized Solutions that the company paid for but it would be nice to have more than that one source.
And, since I will probably be the one paying for the extra stuff.....it will have to cost around cero dineros...  | |

I took CDIA about 6 months ago. I used Specialized Solutions material and a book by @doc.
Specialized Solutions had a CD test that was pretty similar to what you'll find on the exam, and it was most helpful. The cramsession at cramsession.com is a good outline of the type of material on the exam. The material covered in @doc is pretty much the same as that in the Specialized Solutions book, but I read them both just the same.
The @doc book typically runs about $90, not quite as much as Specialized Solutions. |
