Hey all,

I have redhat installed. Everything was running fine but suddenly the network card is not being detected now. I tried changing the network card but no result. I am sure the network card is fine. The error message i am getting is " Bringing up interface eth0: failed.

I am a newbie to this so please have mercy on me and expain the solution in simple language.

What kind of NIC is it? I know PCI and Linux don't always get along that great. Did you try moving it to a different slot just to make sure this isn't a hardware problem?
